Karşı
Karşı: Artistic Mobility Across the Aegean
A co-production by Anadolu Kültür (Turkey), TAVROS, and NOUCMAS (Greece)
The Karşı / Καρσί project – meaning “across” or “opposite” in both languages – draws inspiration from the geographical, cultural, and linguistic proximity between the artistic communities on the two shores of the Northern Aegean. The Turkish word “karşılaşma” (encounter) reflects the project’s spirit: the strengthening of artistic and social ties through creative collaboration.
The artistic initiative Sarı Denizaltı in Bergama, together with Restia in Sigri and Xeno Festival, invited audiences from Lesvos, Turkey, and all interested visitors to participate in public events as part of Karş project.

Collaborative Collage Workshop
Friday, June 13, 18:00 – Collaborative Collage Workshop
A creative collage workshop for all ages took place in the central square of Sigri. Led by Gunseli Baki, who uses this collage practice extensively in her work, the activity invites children and adults alike to participate. Carte-postales were created in a symbolic gesture of dialogue between the two shores of the Aegean, and a collective collage poster was produced, printed, and left in the village as a commemorative artifact of shared experience.
